I tried Nastaliq connection editor but got this error:

could somebody explain what's the Qalmi Convention and how do I find it to get naming right.

Hi! Thanks for trying this! I am going to write up my Nastaliq engineering process today. But briefly the convention is this:

• Glyphs which form part of the rasm begin with a capitalised form telling you what letter they are (e.g. BE, TE, JIM, SIN, etc.)
• The next part is "m" for medial, "i" for initial, "f" for final, "u" for isolated.
• Then you have a variant number.

So the second version of you medial beh would be called "BEm2".
