error: websocket is not connected

I have installed and tested as instructed but get the following error:
'error: websocket is not connected" when I run the command chromix-too ls (chromix-too-server is running)

Could it be a firewall issue?

With the server running, can you telnet to its port...

telnet localhost 7442

same issue here - and yes can telnet to 7442. gonna jump into source... any tips on where to look? running mac osx 10.12.6 and chrome 62.0.3202.89
