What is the recommended way to copy to a user stage in Snowflake using snow cli

Hi Team,
Had some questions, I would appreciate if you can guide on some of them.

1. While password during connection addition is optional, how do we pass it at runtime ? is there like an interactive mode ?
2. What is the recommended way to copy a file or directory to a user stage in Snowflake using snow cli ?
   2.1. If I try something like snow stage copy file:\\C://<Some Path>/* @~/<some path> - it does not seem to be working...

thank you - much easier to setup than snowSQL - great jobs guys...
