More intuitive repo input

I tried pointing it at a local repo and it tells me no repo specified. I'm not sure what's up with that. I would like to allow this to work with rust cargo. Is there a config file I can edit? There's no way to see the settings that I see.
I tried git@github.com:davehorner/cargo-e.git and the local path on my disk. The url/path just sits in the box when I hit return. Then it tells me Cannot sync, no repo specified.

It's the name of the repo as VS Code sees it, not the URL. Perhaps I should make that clearer, since in hindsight entering a URL seems intuitive.

It's supposed to give you some options to choose from based on what repos the Git extension finds locally in the workspace. Do you have the Git extension installed? I haven't actually tested without it.

whoops, didn't see the separate issue. yes, it seems linked to the repo I have open - which then the question is, why not just take the current repo/branch.

I'm not sure I need more than that; does the room get associated with the open code? It will be more clear here when I spend some more time on this.

in terms of this issue, it might more be about a bug in that paths specified do not return or accept and lead to an error "no repo specified"

Yeah, that makes sense. The other consideration is... what if there are submodules you want to keep in sync? Maybe that's a separate issue.
