Interesting idea, I've also been exploring solutions to the expressions vs statements dichotomy.

Do you have a centralized list of keywords, operators, prelude built-in constructs, etc?

I haven't look deep into the code yet but seems that @tim-hardcastle is not using a parser generator for this project (hence no grammar file)? I'm thinking of a syntax-summary-generator which function likes a parser generator, except it takes a grammar file and generate a structured file for what we need.

We can make use of the VSCode plugin (i.e. we can use the syntax highlighter's definition instead of the language's grammar or how the language is defined semantically), but I think it's best to work with the language directly.

@butera-simone is this enough? Seems that all keywords are defined here. I retraced from the lexer, which makes use of this file to define token types.
