Can't build due to unfindable kotlin-platform-common

I know this project isn't maintained any more @tim-patterson but any chance of a quick refresh please? This looks like exactly what I need but it looks like it's doing some out-of-date stuff with gradle/kotlin that I can't quite follow but I thought maybe it's something you can do in 10 minutes. Thanks heaps in advance.

Hey William,

I've had a bit of a play around but as you mentioned Kotlin changed the way they expect multiplatform projects to be structured.

I'm having some troubles getting the dependencies to work properly with the new structure, not quite sure whats going on...

If you're just using the jvm then its probably easier to just use antlr directly with a sql grammar or use something like apache calcite.

I'd love to get it working for you but I fear I might take me quite some time.

Thanks heaps for taking a look @tim-patterson ! I bumped into the same confusions and also don't know much about both multiplatform kotlin and antlr. I ended up just building on top of another fairly active SQL parser: https://github.com/JSQLParser/JSqlParser. @williamboxhall how is the parsed ast to work with? This library I think gets an easier to work with tree instead of being forced to use the 'visitor' pattern

How would you do 'emit' tuples like in a volcano model?

I found the visitor pattern pretty gross and oldschool but in the end it worked fine - you're going to have to do some type of recursive traversal anyway most likely. It could have been more elegant but at least I got my scrappy proof of concept working.

Another thing you could try is forking this repo and taking out all the multiplatform stuff and see if that resolves anything - it wouldn't surprise me if you ran into other unresolvable dependencies from bintray in the process but you might be able to find other repos for that. If you end up doing that please let us know!

Does jsql help evaluate expression where clauses easily? i.e. is it strongly typed around what the operator is and what the operands are etc? or is it just a generic 'Node' object being passed around
