Coming soon: New version with new features and new language

Good morning! We are working on the new version, working day and night to implement fixes and new features (such as advanced encryption, new notification methods, advanced rotation and not just on total number, and more).
Everything will be new, with the aim of achieving better portability, better support for future developments, and better security.
This is based on advice we received months ago, which we rightly had to take on board.

Yes, much appreciated. I see 0.7.4-bash is available. Do you suggest updating from 0.7.3? The update script is full of WARNINGs (Legacy Branch, Not Maintained, etc.).

Yes, I definitely recommend updating. There are corrections in the code and improvements for cloud management with rclone.
I included those warnings (as I wrote in the readme) to prepare the environment for the new situation.
It is requiring a lot of work, so we must proceed step by step.

Newb here, I've been using PBS, but before upgrading my main PVE server to v9 I wanted to also back up PVE settings, etc. Given your new release coming out, do you suggest starting with the current version or waiting?

Hi, the new version may (as with all new things) have some bugs (I hope not, but I can't guarantee it).
The current version is used by many people, so I would say you can go ahead now.
