hotkeys behave differently from buttons

The action file.trash (however initiated) doesn't seek confirmation (because it's not fatal, can be untrashed whenever wanted)

of course i changed it to file.delete

I haven't been able to replicate here the problem you reported.

Can you please post a copy of your emelfm2 config file? Perhaps that will give some hints.

I've run emelfm2 here, using your config file, without finding any issue. So we'll need to try some detailed detective work.

First, does behaviour change if you run with default options (emelfm2 -o)?

Next, what's the output from emelfm2 -b ?

Do you have the capability to build and/or run the application in debug-mode (to enable console-display of debug messages)?

Now it gets fun. First time running -o didnt make a difference.
But after running normal mode again, it suddenly showed the confirmation dialogs.
But now it doesnt show them anymore in -o mode. O_o

Ouch!! That sort of thing is most likely associated with a race of some sort.

Just to be clear, a key-press and a corresponding button-click (after respective interpretation) should both execute the exact same code. Prima facie, there's no way to execute SOME of the same code.

Nothing obvious from the above, except both WITH_GTK2=0 and WITH_GTK3=0, in which case the build will use whichever dev. files it finds. Which?

Here, I almost always stick with gtk2 version for everyday use.
