Adding Windower Console & FFXI Commands to Menus

It is possible to add Windower Console commands and/or commands directly to the FFXI client when making custom lists?

Instead of using the lists for my spells, pets, job abilities, and weapon skills, I would like to have menus for various commands. The primary goal would be superwarp commands. But it could be anything like pushing Windower commands to reload addons, pushing default FFXI commands (emotes for example).

I was just curious if you knew if this was possible. And if so, what the syntax would look like in the data*.lua files. Also if I would need to muck around in the Rhombus.lua at all to make it happen.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure there's any easy way to hack that in. For reasons I can't remember, I limited each of the menus to one type of ability. The type is used to filter the contents of the templates based on which abilities are "available", and to format the commands sent to the console. I realized how limiting that was after a while, but never got around to rewriting it.

@trv6 if you find yourself with some time and feel like revisiting this, I think it would be super helpful to release a version which cuts out all the hoops of referencing the Windower resource files for spells, job abilities, and weapon skills. Just keep the amazing menu structure, and instead have the 4 /Rhombus/Data template files just accept lists of commands. Similar to the way XIVHotbar does. <3

If you don't mind putting the commands in a separate addon, you could try using the library I was planning to use to rewrite Rhombus. You'd need https://github.com/trv6/w4/blob/master/widgets.lua, https://github.com/trv6/w4/tree/master/widgets, and https://github.com/trv6/w4/blob/master/AltE/libs/events.lua. I don't guarantee there aren't bugs, though, and I'm not really committed to fixing any that pop up. But if you are comfortable with Lua it might not be too bad.
