Question about the -es option of mspms and compatibility with other flags #2425

@uvkxu

Description

@uvkxu

In the changelog entry from 2016-02-17 and in the documentation of mspms, it is stated that:

"[...], except for the -es option which is currently limited in scope."
“The implementation of the -es option is limited, and has restrictions on how it may be combined with other options.”

Is this still the case?
If so, could you clarify what exactly these restrictions are — i.e., with which options the -es flag cannot be used?

More generally, I’d like to know whether there are other flags that require special caution, or whether certain combinations of flags should also be used carefully.
(I’m already aware of the issue with negative growth rates in exponential form combined with -eG.)

My goal is to ensure that I can safely run ms, msms and mspms with the same set of parameters and expect similar results.
