SQL interface renders tab characters as ⇥

I have some logs whose log_body contains tab-delimited fields. When displayed in the SQL interface in lnav, the tabs are shown as ⇥ characters (U+21E5). Can this be disabled? It doesn't render nicely in my terminal (there is overlap with the next character).

It's not configurable at the moment. The rendering in the DB view needs to show the SQLite table column value in a single-line and fixed-width column to make it clear what is in the cell. So, special/non-printable characters are rendered symbolically.

Sorry, but this seems like a bug in your terminal... I don't really want to spend time on it. What terminal are you using there?

One thing I notice, though, is that the tab symbol is not colored yellow. Here is what I see in ghostty and Terminal.app:

I've made a change to the top-of-tree so that the "details overlay" (opened by pressing p) will show the cell content without the special rendering. So, new-lines and tabs show up as expected.

I'm using xfce4-terminal, but I've managed to get better (non-overlapping) rendering by switching the font to Monospace Regular, away from Ubuntu Mono Regular. So it appears to be an issue with that font, so I agree, not an lnav issue. Thank you for your help with this!
