Hi everyone,
I would like to ask whether it would be possible to allow non-registered users to add comments to shared documents.
Use Case
This feature could have a significant impact on Typst’s adoption, particularly in academia, which is one of its core target audiences.
In academic settings, especially among senior researchers, there is often considerable resistance to adopting new tools and workflows. While students and early-career researchers may be willing to use Typst, especially when they are the primary authors, collaboration can become challenging once senior collaborators (e.g. professors or supervisors) are involved. In many cases, they are reluctant to create an account on a new platform solely to provide comments.
As a result, even when I would prefer to use Typst, I may ultimately be forced to switch to Overleaf simply to ensure smooth collaboration with senior colleagues who are already used to it.
