I'm not sure I understand the permalink point. You want to disable username for the whole application, or only the login form? |

Hi, disable usernames for the whole application so the users can rely on their email for registration and login. I mentioned permalinks in reference to
I saw a video this morning from a user who, on sign up, amended the default user name, saved it into his password manager, then must have tapped the suggest option next to the username, as the username then changed again before the form had submitted, and no longer matched what they had saved. It just seems an unnecessary distraction, at least for my users. |

There is a config option to require email instead of username for the login form. However the same config doesn't "turn off" the username in the URL. To achieve this, you'll need to replace the routes definition to replace the username with the user ID, plus the middleware that inject the user into the controller. |

Hi, I have a UF build in use and by far the biggest pain point for users is signing up with both username and email. My users don't care about pretty permalinks. Any chance of a config option to disable usernames, thereby hiding it from the register form?
