[RISC-V] Emulating Fedora/RISC-V

Hi,

I am trying to emulate Fedora/RISC-V using UTM. However, I am getting the following errors with the default RISCV-V64 settings:

QEMU error: QEMU exited from an error: qemu-riscv64-softmmu: -device e1000e,mac=DA:9F:51:7B:16:5A,netdev=net0: No 'PCI' bus found for device 'e1000e'

Internal error trying to connect to SPICE server.

The settings:

All other options for "System" do not work.

I also tried changing the boot media from iso to Disk Image.

Still getting an error (the same error with a different mac address):

I am running UTM Version 4.6.5 (108) on M2 Pro.

The error is telling you the the machine you selected (risc-v spike board) does not have any PCI buses to support the e1000e network card.

choose a different non-pci network card, or change the machine type to one that supports PCI.

With virtio-net-device in the Network > Emulated Network Card I get:

QEMU error: QEMU exited from an error: qemu-riscv64-softmmu: -device virtio-net-device,mac=52:04:A0:39:5E:EC,netdev=net0: No 'virtio-bus' bus found for device 'virtio-net-device'

try using virtio-net-device with the risc-v virtio board machine.

if that doesn’t work, you can fall back to the usb-net device which should work on any system with usb enabled.

Thx! That seems to have done something. Now I'm getting "Display output is not active" and I need to figure out how to talk to it.
