For hosts, it should show:

• Sync status
• Last seen
• Uptime?
• Number of vip clients served?
• Balance earned?
• Next withdraw period?

For clients, it should show:

• Connection status
• Last seen
• Balance available

Without filter, it should show some aggregate stats:

• Number of vipnode hosts active/registered
• Number of vipnode clients active/registered
• Total client balance available
• Total host balance earned

Questions:

• Are there privacy concerns about showing balances?
• Should we show balances associated with wallets instead of nodes? Are the privacy implications worse in this case?

I would prefer to send these metrics to my local database (eg. graphite, influxdb) for later analysis, something similar to https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/wiki/Metrics-and-Monitoring but expoesd through a JSON-RPC would be useful
