Although the foundation of supporting multiple operating systems are there but it requires a lot of work to make it work and most importantly to make it as stable as we are with ubuntu. I don't see this happening in a close future TBH. |

Hi everyone,
I've noticed that when adding a new server using the "Custom" provider, the Operating System selection is currently restricted strictly to Ubuntu versions (20, 22, 24).
It would be a significant improvement to support a wider variety of Linux distributions, such as Fedora, Debian, Rocky Linux, and CentOS, similar to the flexible selection experience offered by providers like Hetzner. This would be incredibly beneficial for developers who prefer or require environments other than Ubuntu for their specific use cases.
Expanding the provisioning scripts to support these other popular distros would make VitoDeploy much more versatile. Is this something that could be considered for the roadmap?
Thanks!
