Using the open-source HTTP Request Shortcuts app you can create a shortcut that posts to Feedlynx, which can be invoked from the share sheet.

Import the Shortcut

After installing the app import and configure the shortcut:

  1. Tap on the ⋮ menu, and then Import/Export
  2. Choose import from URL
  3. Enter: https://files.wezm.net/feedlynx-shortcut.zip as the URL, then tap OK
  4. After importing the shortcut tap on the ⋮ menu, then '{} Global Variables'
    • Set the FeedlynxToken variable with your token value.
  5. In the main screen tap and hold on the shortcut, choose Edit, then in Basic Request Settings change the URL to the suit your Feedlynx server.

How the Shortcut Was Created

  1. Basic Request Settings:
    • Method: POST
    • URL: https://feedlynx.example.com/add (replace feedlynx.example.com with your own domain)
  2. Request Body/Parameters:
    • Parameter Name: url, Value: {FeedlynxUrl}
    • Parameter Name: token, Value: {FeedlynxToken}
  3. Response Handling:
    • On Success: Show the response
    • On Failure: Show a detailed error message
    • Display Type: Toast Popup
  4. Trigger & Execution Settings:
    • ☑️ Show as app shortcut on launcher
  5. After saving the shortcut tap on the ⋮ menu, then '{} Global Variables'
    • Create the FeedlynxToken variable with your token value
    • Create the FeedlynxUrl variable with no value, but set: ☑️ Allow Receiving Value from Share Dialogue
      • Set Data to Receive from Sharing to: Text only
