What

Enhanced GitHub issue templates and updated repository metadata for better community engagement and user experience.

Why

Based on repository review findings:

  • Original issue templates were basic and didn't capture enough context
  • GitHub repo description was outdated (referenced old "market signals" positioning vs current "Describe it. Build it. Ship it.")
  • Missing community links in issue template config

Changes

  • Enhanced bug report template: Added pipeline dropdown, better structure, required fields for reproduction steps
  • Improved feature request template: Added priority levels, implementation commitment options, better categorization
  • Updated issue template config: Added links to Discord, documentation, and live platforms
  • Updated GitHub repo description (via API): Now matches current README positioning

Impact

  • Better quality bug reports with more actionable information
  • Clearer feature request triage with priority indicators
  • Improved first-time contributor experience
  • More discoverable community resources

Tested

  • All templates validated with GitHub's YAML schema
  • Templates render correctly in GitHub issue creation UI
  • No conflicts with existing 10+ open PRs (focuses on .github/ directory only)

- Enhanced bug report template with better UX and more pipeline options
- Improved feature request template with priority and implementation sections
- Updated issue template config with community links
- Covers Scout's recommendation for better community engagement

Note: Also updated GitHub repo description via API to match current README positioning
