1-595: Consider using plain text format for the license file. While
LICENSE.mdis convenient for GitHub's nice rendering, best practice is to store license files in plain text format (LICENSEorLICENSE.txt). This preserves the official GPLv3 text without Markdown formatting, which can complicate legal interpretation and differs from the canonical source. If you intend to keep the Markdown version, consider also committing a plain-text copy for legal clarity.

1-595: Static analysis style suggestions are not applicable to license documents. The markdownlint and LanguageTool suggestions (heading style, wordiness) flag issues with the official GPLv3 legal text. These style guidelines should not override the integrity of the canonical license document. No changes needed on these fronts.

Fix HTML entity encoding in URLs.
Lines 5, 588, and 595 use < and > to encode angle brackets in URLs. In Markdown, these should be literal < and > characters, as they render incorrectly when displayed.
Apply this diff to fix the URL rendering:

In LICENSE.md around lines 5, 588, and 595, the URLs use HTML entities `<`
and `>` which render incorrectly in Markdown; replace those entities with
literal angle brackets `<` and `>` so the URLs appear as `<http://fsf.org/>`
(and the corresponding URLs on lines 588 and 595) ensuring there are no extra
escapes or entity encodings remaining.
