GitHub has deprecated Ubuntu 20.04 runners and they will be removed in the future. The
ubuntu-latestrunner provides:Impact
The workflow will continue to test Python versions 3.8, 3.9, 3.10, and 3.11 with PostgreSQL 12, but now runs on the latest Ubuntu runner instead of the deprecated ubuntu-20.04. This is a non-breaking change that maintains all existing functionality while ensuring the CI/CD pipeline remains supported.
