Hi, I'm Ellen! Here's a bit about me:

💻 currently studying:

  • Computer Science at UBC in the BCS second-degree program

💼 currently working at:

  • Okta, doing a summer software engineering internship as a full-stack developer with TypeScript and golang

🎓 previously, I've studied:

  • Psychology (B.Sc. 2014); Marketing (M.Sc. 2019)

💡 currently developing my skills in:

  • golang (for work), TypeScript (also for work), C# with Monogame (for fun)

🏆 previously, I've kept busy with:

  • an 8-month software internship at Acuity Insights, working as a full-stack web developer with PHP and MySQL
  • a 4-month software internship at Okta, building out full-stack API changes to better serve customers
  • projects in Python, C#, Java, Racket, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • full-scale design and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative research
  • volunteer leadership e.g. community admin and tech lead for an online hobby group of 2000+ members
  • teaching and tutoring all sorts of knowledge in all sorts of contexts!
