@ollietulloch, @kylenene; we can use this PR to look at what remains to be done.

  • add window.onerror handler
  • add Rails endpoint to receive errors
  • distinguish between client errors and Ruby errors (using JavascriptError)
  • ensure UI works reasonably
  • more UI polish – make browser errors stand out visually?
  • should API endpoint controller be active by default?
  • document how to enable client error logging
  • rate-limit?
  • Investigate StackTrace JS library, for better cross-browser support
  • more coverage + RuboCop
