🌊 OpenNept4une v0.1.7
Release Date: November 22, 2025

🎯 What's New

  • Kernel Changes: RT (Real-Time).
    • Recompiled a Real-Time kernel to address Klipper MCU failures seen in the pre-release (v0.1.6).
    • New CPU affinity service: pins critical services and serial devices (ttyS*) to dedicated CPU cores to reduce latency and scheduling interference for MCU communication.
    • Benefit: better determinism for Klipper host ↔ MCU communications under load.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Before You Upgrade!

  1. Backup your configs from Fluidd:
    • printer.cfg
    • usersettings.cfg
    • any custom config files
  2. Reflash your eMMC with the v0.1.7 image.
  3. Restore your saved configs into Fluidd and adjust as needed.
