Planet Destroyer is an incremental game in which you and your ships destroy progressively harder planets, collecting money, achievements, and upgrades along the way. Using the game's special currency, comets, that you aqcuire from the money you've earned, you can prestige, resetting your progress (except for your achievements), in return for a benefit in one of three aspects of the game.
This is a Windows-only game. To install the game, go to https://oxef.itch.io/planet-destroyer and follow the instructions there OR you can go to the releases on the right side of your screen, click the latest tag/release, and follow the instructions listed there.
All code is mine and was built from scratch using C# in the XNA framework.
All art is mine with a few exceptions:
- The logo shown at the top of the game was made using https://www.brandcrowd.com/
- All explosions were created by ansimuz at https://opengameart.org/content/animated-explosions
- The coin used for the money prestige was created by irmirx at https://opengameart.org/content/spinning-pixel-coin-0
