I applied the same "fix", however the little overview windows for the workspaces on the right sode stopped working (see attached screenshot). However, I am not sure if that is related to something else and fixable.

Vertical-overview stopped working once I upgraded to Fedora 38 (Gnome 44).
This simple "fix" seemed to have enabled it to work on Gnome 44.
