Looks like there are a handful of dead links remaining for the deleted pages: https://github.com/RetroAchievements/docs/actions/runs/17924931863/job/50968554962?pr=274 |
Dead links have been removed. Took several iterations to find them all, especially in the translated docs. Should be ready for merging now. |

This page seems to have a bunch of SEO juice behind it. We should probably keep it.

We should keep this too. Google uses this to form semantic connections to our emulator integration guide.

| Even in hardcore mode fast-forward is allowed, as a modern convenience. It's ~~almost~~ a consensus that fast-forward offers no risk to the fairplay and then it's available for everyone to use it. | ||

| **NOTE**: in _softcore_ mode savestates, rewind and slow motion are also allowed, but expect to have some issues. Read in [this link Why you shouldn't use the load state feature](/orphaned/load-state-feature). |

| While you will still be able to get achievements in Softcore, playing on HARDCORE mode is the only way to earn a Mastery for a game, displaying your skill- and prowess to your fellow retro achievers and competitors by showing up on the game's page as a master of the game, as well as on the main leaderboard. Playing on HARDCORE will also allow you to set times, scores or participate in miscellaneous challenges on game-specific leaderboards. | ||

| **Note**: If you want to play with the HARDCORE mode disabled (also known as "Softcore"), expect to have some issues. Read in [this link Why you shouldn't use the load state feature](/orphaned/load-state-feature). |

Minor clean up to a few docs/pages, deleted some abandoned WIPs that are too out of date to ever be usable.
