Title: Designing Multimodal Emotional Expression for a Robotic Study Companion
Institution: University of Tartu
Year: 2025
This repository contains all materials developed and used for the research and writing of my Master's thesis on the emotional expression of the Robot Study Companion (RSC), focusing on multimodal affective feedback in educational robotics.
Python scripts for the statistical analysis and visualization of user study data:
- Emotion recognition accuracy
- Voice preference analysis
- Visualisation of User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) results
- Cross-cultural and demographic comparisons
Resources used to design and produce emotional expressions:
- Static facial expressions
- Face animation files
- Audio clips used for each emotion
- Final multimodal videos (audio + animation + face)
Note: Motion sequences and robot simulations are hosted separately in the RSC_ROS2 repository.
All processed results, including:
- Confusion matrices
- Graphs and charts from statistical analyses
- Summary tables
Materials used during the user study:
- Final version of the questionnaire
- Instructional slides used in the test sessions
