An R Shiny dashboard provides a technical summary of B.C.'s young forest stands by various management units within the FAIB database.
The purpose of this application is to deliver a comprehensive summary of timber supply-related forest attributes for young stands in British Columbia using ground sample data collected through the Young Stand Monitoring (YSM) program. The application is currently hosted at https://bcgov-env.shinyapps.io/YSM_techrep/, and the data are updated annually based on newly collected ground samples.
Users can generate summaries at different strata levels by selecting TSA or BEC & subzones under the "Strata" section in the "Select the area of interest" box. Once a stratum is selected, the available management units for the summaries appear under the "Select" menu. The application features various tabs on the left, which display the reports for the selected management unit. Users can export the full report as an HTML document using the "Download report" button.
Government employees, public and members of the private sector are encouraged to contribute to the repository by forking and submitting a pull request.

Pull requests will be evaluated by the repository guardians on a schedule and if deemed beneficial will be committed to the master.
