Applies last week's unmerged better-auth 1.5.x compat fixes (cherry-picked from draft PR #4) and bumps @btst/stack peer dep to >=2.8.1. No new upstream commits this week (upstream still at 3.3.15). Package version bumped 1.2.2 → 1.2.4 (patch).
