WheelAir

WheelAir is a comprehensive, global database designed to empower wheelchair users and travelers with reduced mobility. By unifying airline policies and international regulations into a single, professional interface, we aim to eliminate the information asymmetry that often makes air travel stressful for the disability community.

🚀 The Problem

Airline wheelchair policies are historically difficult to find—often buried in legal fine print, scattered across complex PDFs, or hidden behind inconsistent help centers. For travelers with expensive and essential mobility aids, this lack of clarity leads to anxiety, safety concerns, and potential damage to equipment.

✨ The Solution

WheelAir provides a unified, searchable, and verified source of truth.

  • 360+ Airlines: Instant access to specific wheelchair and battery policies for almost every major carrier in the world.
  • Technical Specs: Clear guidelines on battery types (Lithium-ion, Dry, etc.), Watt-hour limits, and required handling instructions.
  • Direct Contacts: One-click access to dedicated accessibility emails and phone numbers.
  • Legal Frameworks: Integrated guides for EU 1107/2006, US DOT Part 382 (ACAA), and the Montreal Convention.
  • Evidence-Based: Every policy includes direct links to official sources for verification at the check-in counter.
