The introduction to Section 2 is really well-written (and in my opinion, the most well-written intro out of each section) -- every sentence is well motivated and leads naturally to the next. Personally, I am a fan of the style of Section 2's intro: It doesn't say anything like "In this part...", it simply jumps in by posing an overarching question, or by addressing shortcomings from the machinery built in the last few sections. However, this is a personal nit, and I think the other sections are OK. In Section 3, please define the acronym CAVI before using it. As another nit, in Section 5's intro, directed graphical models are mentioned and expanded on, but there's not much about "... and that's why we call these directed graphical models". Overall, looks great though -- fantastic work! |
