Getting access to Amphora

Erick Peirson edited this page Apr 10, 2017 · 5 revisions

We use central authentication for many of our web applications, including Amphora, in order to coordinate user identities and privileges across the computational HPS research platform. We chose GitHub for this purpose, since most computationally-oriented scholars will use that platform at some point or another.

  1. In order to start using Amphora, you'll first need to create an account on GitHub.
  2. Head over to Amphora. The current ASU research group instance is running at https://amphora.asu.edu/amphora.
  3. Click "Log in" below the search bar.
  4. You should be redirected to GitHub, where you'll be asked to authorize the Amphora web application. This may involve several steps (e.g. confirming your log-in information). Please do authorize Amphora; we promise not to read your diary.

  1. Once authorization is complete, you should be redirected back to Amphora. You'll should see a screen that says "Almost there!".

  1. Email Erick to request account authorization (erick.peirson@asu.edu).
