✅ How to Use

  1. Open your Ableton Live set.
  2. Drag the Redflame Colorizer.amxd device into main track.
  3. Boom — track names are analyzed and colored automatically.
  4. Rename any track — the color will update instantly.

🚀 How to Install

To clone and use this TypeScript-based color mapping logic in your own Max for Live project:

  1. Clone this repository:

    git clone https://github.com/djredflame/redflame-colorizer.git
  2. Navigate into the project folder:

    cd redflame-colorizer
  3. Install dependencies (only needed once):

    npm install
  4. Open the project in VS Code or your preferred editor.

  5. Edit or extend the colorMap inside colorize.ts to customize track type detection.

  6. Open the .amxd Max for Live device with Max and integrate the updated logic if needed.

💡 This repository is structured so that the TypeScript logic can be reused across different devices. You can also extract the mapping logic into your own .amxd project or device patch.

🧠 Why Use This?

  • Better visual overview of your session
  • Instant recognition of track types
  • Save time on manual coloring
  • Works with your own naming conventions

💡 Customization

Want to change colors or extend the mappings? Open the colorize.ts file and edit the colorMap dictionary.
