Previously, the upgrade process ignored whether a dependency was a regular dependency, peer dependency, or optional dependency. This caused peer and optional dependencies to not be updated in their correct sections. Now the dependency type is included in the choice key and validated throughout the upgrade process to ensure packages are updated in their original dependency sections.
