Quickly assign keys 1-8 to graph nodes and 9 to channel tabs. Press single or multiple keys and scroll or move mouse to adjust parts of the graph with different speeds. To free up keys 1-5 one could reassign star ratings to long presses.

Midi buttons with built-in lights can be assigned to any toggle button (or star rating or color label) and reflect their currently status.
