Being able to specify the encoding is important if you intend to provide csv files for Excel 2007 as it expects them to be in latin1.
As it turns out, the other PR from @erdraug fixes the problem for Excel 2007 as well: #10
Nevertheless, it might be nice to be able to specify the output encoding.
If you don't like this, please tell me and I'll provide a patch which will only fix the IE export issue.
