apod_archive_setbg downloads the Astronomy Picture Of the Day and sets it as your background. Each script does one part of the process, one relying on the other. apod_get downloads an image and its description. apod_getrss downloads an entire weeks worth. linnea_annotate produces resized and captioned images.
