Started on the internet when AOL was the internet. Interned at a software shop, spent two years as an IT intern for my school district, was the yearbook nerd — had every intention of going into tech. Then the dotcom bubble had other plans.
Spent 20+ years building things the hard way: federal contracts, multimillion-dollar job sites, hard hats, and RFIs at midnight. Turns out running a $20M construction project and building distributed AI systems require the exact same skill set — knowing what breaks, when, and why, before it costs you everything.
