Sitecore Services Client

SSC is RESTful interface to the Sitecore application that can be extended using Item Services. SSC has 2 parts:

  1. Item Services
  2. Entity Services

Let's talk about them and see how we can try them from scratch on clean Sitecore instance.

You can get more information about supporting CORS and Authentication. This information is not in the abovementioned official Sitecore documentation. Moreover, there are some issues related to authentication in Entity Services and sharing authentication cookie in subsequent requests, configuring to have multiple origins.
