Internal Pilot Simulator

The Internal Pilot Simulator (ips) is a tool to perform simulation on the behaviour of clinical trials with internal pilot study design.

The tool currently supports the following trials design

  • normally distributed outcomes
  • two-armed trial designs with superiority, non-inferiority and equivalence hypothesis using difference-of-means or ration of means
  • Tree armed trial design as in described in [1]
  • blinded and unblinded re-assesement of the variance, unblinded re-assesement of the delta
