I had a few issues with using this crate in my projects so i decided to fix them and contribute the changes back.
The most controversial change is removing main.rs, https://blog.axo.dev/2024/03/its-a-lib-and-a-bin explains most of the reasoning.
Other than that its mainly upgrades and switching from the (application focused) anyhow to the (library focused) thiserror.
As this changes the api a version bump is required if you want to publish this to crates.io
