This is slightly surprising at first sight, but it is because layout is not performed for parts that are not open.

What I'd really like in that context (well, at least remotly related): In the Export dialog there should be an additional button "all open parts" (actually maybe even "all generated parts", but that might not be possible, or not feasible until we can really get rid of generated parts) |

It would be best to open a separate request for that, because it would need some input from the design team. There isn't really room for more buttons in that dialog currently. |
