Fixing some bugs in apps pages. JQ-less re-write. Also, doing something with tags.
(it's all connected I swear)

Summary of Changes

Hello @CallumWalley, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request introduces significant improvements to the documentation system's quality and user experience. It refines the metadata validation process with intelligent tag and key suggestions, streamlines the list of approved tags, and modernizes the application filtering interface by migrating its JavaScript logic to vanilla JS. Additionally, it reorganizes parts of the storage documentation and cleans up obsolete styling, resulting in a more robust and efficient documentation platform.

Highlights

  • Enhanced Documentation Checks: Implemented new Python checks (run_meta_check.py) to validate the number of tags and ensure they are from an approved list. These checks now also suggest corrections for mistyped metadata keys and tags using string similarity.
  • Tag Management Streamlining: The checks/.approved_tags.yml file has been significantly pruned and standardized, removing many redundant or less useful tags. The checks/README.md was updated to reflect these changes and provide guidance on tag usage.
  • Application Page Refactor: The JavaScript for the applications filtering (supportedApplications.js) was rewritten from jQuery to vanilla JavaScript, improving maintainability and removing a dependency. This refactor also removed cluster-based filtering.
  • Documentation Reorganization: Several storage-related documentation files and their associated .pages.yml files were moved and renamed for better organization, with corresponding redirects added to redirect_map.yml.
  • CSS Cleanup: Unused CSS files (footer.css) and specific cluster-related styling from supportedApplications.css were removed, contributing to a leaner codebase.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.
