Hello and thanks to the Project Contour team for setting up this helm chart repository and for starting the work to transition from the Bitnami chart!

The new policy change from Bitnami regarding artifact access is compelling many users, including myself, to look for an alternative helm chart. Your fork is the most logical and promising path forward.

Could you please provide an update on the status of this specific helm chart (projectcontour/contour)?

• Is the chart currently actively maintained and supported by the team?
• Are there plans to merge this PR, or is the intention to first find dedicated maintainers for the helm chart repository?
• If the team is seeking additional help, are you open to new contributions (e.g., from community members willing to help with maintenance and synchronization with upstream Contour releases)?

The community is eager to adopt an officially supported chart, and any information on its current status and future plans would be greatly appreciated.

Seconding the questions that @demikl asked, if you do need maintainers then I am all for helping around here all I can.

Just like a lot of others, I am probably waiting for a 1.0 release, so if there is any information to find or help please let me know!

Apologies for the delay. A new release is now available: https://github.com/projectcontour/helm-charts/releases/tag/contour-0.2.0.

I’m adding automation for version bumps and deployment testing to some manual work involved in Helm chart releases, which should help remove some friction.

@demikl @Sefiris If you have the time and interest, I’d really appreciate help reviewing PRs and providing feedback, especially since I don't use Helm myself. For example, you could take a look at the PR for the separate CRD chart (#4) and share any thoughts? Thanks!
