SM8750-MTP will use the HMT packages for wifi and BT.
Adding both the packages in packagegroup-sm8750-mtp to include them in the image.

How does this match your comment?

SM8750-MTP uses WIFI chipset ganges and there is not upstream
ETA for WIFI and BT firmware.

Earlier when we inquired about fw for wifi and BT, got info that they don't have plan for upstream, but now got info that HMT is pored for SM8750, KNP, Glymur targets. So raising PR to update the fw.

My question is, how does the board use HMT packages.

@vivpuar any updates?

Sry for the delay. SM8750-MTP boards mainly attach Ganges, but there are boards with HTM support also. I'm yet to receive HW documentation, once received I will share the update.

Your question is from HW perspective?
I have shared offline the details I received for the HMT support on these boards.

Try describing the situation in the commit message. This way you won't have to share anything else. Please, it's really easy.

If you check my question, it's about being obvious enough. Otherwise, you wrote that the SM8750-MTP (board) uses "packages". The board doesn't use packages, whatever that means.

What is "HMT"? What does it mean that "board support HMT"? How can board support it?

SM8750-MTP board has Ganges as inbuilt connectivity solution. This board also
supports Hamilton(HMT) as an external connectivity attachment. Since the Ganges
firmware is not yet available upstream, adding HMT WiFi and BT packages into
packagegroup-sm8750-mtp to include them in the image and use HMT connectivity
solution.
