πŸ“š Welcome to the Chrootux Wiki

What is Chrootux?

Chrootux is a lightweight and flexible environment launcher based on Linux chroot.
It allows you to easily set up and manage different Linux root filesystems on your device with needing root access.

Chrootux is designed to work on various architectures, including ARMHF, ARM64, and x86_64, and can run inside environments like Termux on Android or on standard Linux systems.

πŸ”₯ Features

  • Simple setup and lightweight footprint
  • Support for multiple architectures
  • Works with Termux or native Linux environments
  • Does not depend directly on Termux packages
  • First release includes compiled binaries (v0.3.7)

πŸ“¦ Available Binaries (v0.3.7)

  • Chrootux-Armhf – For standard ARMHF Linux systems
  • Chrootux-Arm64 – For standard ARM64 Linux systems
  • Chrootux-x86_64 – For standard x86_64 Linux systems
  • Chrootux-termux-armhf – For Termux on ARMHF devices
  • Chrootux-termux-arm64 – For Termux on ARM64 devices

⚠️ Important:
Binaries with "termux" in their name are for Termux.
Binaries without "termux" are not intended for Termux β€” they must be used in a regular Linux or chrooted environment.

🌟 Getting Started

You can start by downloading the appropriate binary for your architecture, giving it executable permissions, and running it inside your environment.
A complete installation guide is available in the "Automatic-Installation" section.
