I am currently a researcher for SPGraphs at Olin College. We're analyzing fMRI data using graph signal processing and machine learning to fingerprint individuals and decode tasks. We've engineered and selected features that work best for the data and built a preliminary SVM model to classify tasks. Our next steps are expanding the model to include more patient data, validating and testing the model, and authoring a paper detailing our findings.
I have also worked in the Olin College Crowdsourcing and Machine Learning Lab, which is developing an indoor/outdoor navigation app (Invisible Maps) using ARKit for the visually impaired and blind. I spent a lot of time benchmarking the backend and using this information to make improvements.
