This didn't work for me. The sound will be played once on selection but when I'm receiving a message, the new selected sound will not be played. Only the default sound. |

The PR adds the ability to use native notification sounds. Users may access it via "ChitChat > Notification Sound", and a collection of system provided sounds is available.
That's said at this moment it is disabled by default, and it would not automatically disable WhatsApp Web's notification alert tone.
