Hi @thomasp85,
Here's an idea for allowing geom_node_label to support richtext via ggtext::GeomRichText, as a partial solution to #297. Is this something you're interested in? Or maybe you have other better ideas for implementing ggtext support. I'm happy to tweak this if you have suggestions.
